Arched niches turn the product wall into the architecture of the room.
The brief was a retail wall, a working salon and treatment rooms in one narrow plan.
Rather than lining the wall with shelving, the niches are cut as arches and lit from within, so the products read as a rhythm rather than as stock. Oval backlit mirrors pick up the same curve on the opposite side.
The rooms arrived bare, with a dark timber floor and nothing else. The floor and joinery now stay pale and continuous, which keeps a long room from feeling like a corridor.
